Today I grow older
Although some of these fotos are from the night of the 10th, it is from a party that took place near midnight and crossed to the 11th, so for all I care they fit in the 11th
The day started slow and gradually escalated into a frenzy in a BIG birthday party, that actually wasn't mine It was a birthday party we were invited to (that happened to be of some actress called Avital Abergil (formerly named Avital Oz [till she got divorced])... Anyway...
After a visit to my girlfriend, who had a killer headache and didn't want (couldnt) come to the party I headed to the unknown. Strangely enough (and it IS strange) I arrived first to the crime scene. So I passed my time eating small (tapas like) sandwiches and drinking lots of punch. I don't know what I did more - eat or drink, but I am sure that at that stage, before everybody came, I was more fed up than drunk (a situation which will soon change).
The second strange thing this night (or all nights) was that I met 2 "figures" from the past. Of all days, they come to haunt me tonight? I guess its a small world.
By the time my friends came, I finished all the tapasandwiches there were and even consumed all the punch that was left unattended. So as a last step of desperation I headed to the secret reserve of Chocolate-balls after 10 of those I concluded that its enough solid food for me and I should stick to drinks. Now... I know it sounds like I already had too much food and too much drink by now, but, when you had too much to drink, it doesn't really matter what might seem logical to others at other times
So I kept drinking.
My friends arrived and we continued to drink.
Zilzi came with Tami (his supercute girlfriend), and Zilzi #2 came as well. Later on Sefi (Tal Shavit [aka. Otsker ]) came with his lovely girlfriend Soli and we ALL drank some more.
After a long party with drinks and dances we decided to try another place, a little more quiet, so we can sit and talk some. Sushi was the idea thrown, but half way to the Sushi we changed planes.
Half way to the new place we changed plans again and so on and so forth. Until by accident we arrived to one of the planned places. A short ride with the car took us to a place called "Brasserie".
Last strange thing for the night, although I tried to guess how to finger-whistle for years, on my own and with no luck, and although he himself never managed to do it but probably heard the theory behind it, Zilzi #2 managed to teach me how to whistle really loud with the two fingers in your mouth. HONESTLY (Tami - you have to believe me) I did NOT know how to do that before. So - Now I know how to whistle
Although we did not eat meat, we ate everything else on the menu (or so it felt) and because the waitress understood its my birthday, we were treated with a special dose of sugar in the form of brown chocolate cake. TASTY
From there we dispersed back to our homes, a bit hungry and thirsty, but happy
On that same day - but in the morning, after the night sleep ....
I woke up and went to meet my sister, Naama. We decided to go and eat a birthday lunch (like I didn't eat enough) in some fancy nice place on the beach in the old port of Tel Aviv. Can't remember the name of the place. Was it "Thelet"?
Anyway, it was nice and sunny. A bit too sunny AND very windy. The salad we ate flew out of the plates But it was great. and tasty. We spent some time in the sun and from there moved on to fix my sister's computer After that I went to Galit's house, my girlfriend (which headache was gone by now) and prepared for tonight. YES you guessed right - more food and drinks
We have tonight a special (fancy again) dinner with Raanan, Keren, Shay, Galit and me.
Galit bought me a web-cam. Strange I know, but I did not have one at the time. Now I know why Raanan asked me if I had a web-cam. Sneaky little rascle 0) So she planned it all along
We rushed to meet the guys/gals on some junction and from there moved to the restaurant (again, forgot the name, but Galit chose it so it has to be good).
Not to forget that Galit came up with this notion that I banged some car that was behind me on the way out from the parking. I was so sure I didn't but with the rush and all I chose to believe her and left a note on the car.
We dined and wined and had great time, although almost everything we asked from the menu ran out. Strange for an expensive restaurant to have that happening. But anyway, the only effect it had was a bit agitating feeling it cause Raanan and some disappointment building up in Galit's stomach for being "guilty" of choosing this place.
However, it is my opinion that the place was really nice. the food was really good and even the service (although missing some food items) was good.
Shay chose a wine for us and we all drank it till the bottle was dry
Came back to find that the note from the car has disappeared. However, weeks later and noone called me. I figure that proves that I didn't bang the car. They probably thought some strange fella annoys them about buying the car and didn't bother to call back...
We went to sleep, very tired and very hungry (just kidding!!), older now by a year but still younger than I am now when I write this entry
I don't know if I am getting further from the beginning, maturing, growing, aging and getting close to the end, but I do know it can be great fun. I hope it stays that way for the short even I will have

Moving to Barcelona
|
|
Was busy transitioning from Amsterdam (Holland) to Barcelona (Spain) today.
An EasyJet flight (which was easy indeed) and a train, landed us right in the middle of Barcelona in the gothic area. We first went to meet friends in their hotel room and after long pointless discussions went to look for a room of our own. A shocking cheap place it is, saving some money so we can afford Zilzi's birthday dinner in few days

Amsterdam

Last day of the show was nothing remarkable. But6 the show was overall nice.
The day actually started with a small breakfast at a sandwich place.
After some food and an icecream I headed to the show.
Later tonight, the last party of the tradeshow.
The parties, well, they are good enough reason to go to the shows anyway...
Last party is a party in a big club in Amsterdam (Escape is the name I think).
It was a live band party, two guys pretending to be the blues brothers, and singing songs of the commitments

Woke up to a busy day at the show. Couldn't say anything too interesting about it besides the fact that there are parties after the show which are interesting
Ended up at a party in a catacomb place very interesting. Its an old church turned into a club funny.
After a long night went back to our hotel (de port van cleve) to sleep. Tomorrow is the last day of the tradeshow.

Went to a tradeshow in Amsterdam and Took Zilzi (Sagi) with me. Its about time I explain why Sagi is called Zilzi. Well, its simple: Bilbi was taken.
Anyaway, after I got back from Phoenix with my brand new Casio Exilim, I found out that there is a new ony in town Sony DSC-T1. A 5 MegaPixel 3x optical zoom kickass small camera. So I had to buy that one too
Got if from a friend Mike who came to Amsterdam as well, from the US.
The camera kicks ass
Anyway, Amsterdam was LOVELY!. Sunny 24/7 (maybe I am exaggerating a bit ) and great weather. Met with friends and had fun the first day. Went to some not-so-hot argentinian restaurant but overall was great start.
Tomorrow is a long day...

Haifa - Going back home after a short sleep
|
|
Woke up in the morning to the sound of camera noise
Keren decided to experiment with my camera as well as take fotos of me sleeping in the too small ben as well as waking up. Strange seeing fotos of myself sleeping in my own camera
Into a sunny day with flowers blossom, I left back home to... work

At night I took some time off and went with Friends to Blaumlich. Ended up sitting outside on the porch with drunken Yaniv and two girls (one with very low self esteem) talking nonsense. Its fun sometimes talking without caring how much sense what you say make. Relaxing

Haifa - Visiting Raanan, Keren and Shay
|
|
Went to visit friends in Haifa. Long time since I saw them last, so after catching up with work, had to start catching up with friends
We met in the afternoon and watched several episodes of 24, the second season Sheesh, I LOVE that series.
Went to pick Hila, Keren's friend, and went to a place called BP (Burger Place). Went back home very late only to watch another episode of 24. That damn thing is addictive 0)

Going out.. Tel Aviv at night.
|
|
Went out today with Sagi (Zilzi) and Aviad (Zilzi) on a night out in Tel Aviv. We did a bit of what we call "Bar Woofing" as well as taking pictures of strangers to test the new camera, and ended up in a place called "Mecca" which was nice and the fact it had food there helped. Ended up having a nice spring chicken rolls in a strange peanut butter sauce. Nice

Back home - Holiday now, so lets eat
|
|
Landed right into the holidays. and as usual - food is served
Family gettogether and food is a good mix
So, after eating a lot and soaking in the sun did nothing special as expected. Had to catch up with some work
_____________________
To get reacustomed to Tel Aviv's nights, the best thing is just to plunge back in again. So that's what I did. This time with a new tiny camera I bought in the US (Casio Exilim Ex-s3).
Went out with Sagi (Zilzi) and Aviad (Zilzi) to a pub called "Blaumlich". Use my new camera to do some public service and take pictures of girls who decided it is "cool" to have their picture taken and then over to them via Email. (fre of charge of course )
Funny, I forgot how expensive Alcohol is here in Israel

Not much happened except for one again seeing a proof that the world is tiny. Very tiny.
Met Barbara a friend who worked with me in the past.
It was fun and made the flight much shorter. We counted the seconds together till the landing. Actually counting thousands of seconds
Barbara started working in a real estate agent. Hope that will help me find an apartment faster
